** Great Australian Bite
After some uncertainty securing Turkeys due apparently to a ban on American turkey imports we managed to secure enough imported turkeys to do A roast turkey feast with Buffet Sides and Salad Bar.
We will be doing Lunch and Dinner Service on the 24th, 25th and 26th.
There are several carrots that we would refer to as "Heirloom" cultivars. Several are available in Kunming, the Red type is the most common non standard. They are best eaten cold or fried. They seem to break down at a much more rapid rate than the standard orange ones so beware of over cooking (This is from the small sample size of my personal experience). They do seem to caramelize quite well though.
Sometimes you can also get Purple or White carrots as well.
I haven't seen a VCR in km for years. If you/or a friend work in one of the universities they might be able to access one.
You should be able to find a VCR in one of the second hand markets. Then you can get a RCA to USB converter off of taobao. Ask the seller what software is supported. The will probably give you a baidu cloud link.
I'm thinking of starting a bit of a Barcraft group at my Restaurant Great Australian Bite. Just looking to see how much interest there is before I go and buy a bigger switch and cables and such.
Games would be pretty much up to the participants and I would do some drinks discounts, or prizes if people feel competitive enough.
I'd drag my file server out as well for any file sharing that want's to happen.
@Haali Great Australian Bite also has Lamb Rump Steak, Aussie Sausages, Salmon, and Chicken or Eggplant Parmigiana we also Asian stir fries and a pasta that changes every week.We also just started our lunch menu with breakfast until 5:30. We are closed on Mondays at the moment however.
