Forums > Living in Kunming > New visa mindbenders! Changing Regs - - Changing Personnel - - Changes!!
We have never had "too much trouble" getting visa/ Residence Permit in the end after various paperwork hassles.
Our key has always seemed to be having a friend with us with "mucho GuanXi" with Police (even though my wife is Chinese).
Perhaps someone with "connections" will set up a consulting firm to assist in these visas (maybe they have already)!!
Just my thoughts - - Cheers - - JJ

Forums > Living in Kunming > Americans who move to China, only to eat nothing but McDonald's. Why should you care what other people eat!!
In San Diego, there are many Chinese Buffet restaurants - - and 85% of the clientele are Chinese!!
Go figure

Forums > Living in Kunming > Last night's scuffle on Wenhua Xiang Getting all drunked up often has consequences! We had a honky-tonk in West Texas that was nicknamed the "Bloody Bucket" If you wore a hat inside, someone (or several) would beat stuffing out of you. Some guys would get drunk and challenge the custom - - and - - guess what - - they got stuffing beat out of them!
I used to be the most belligerent drunk around - - finally learned - - and I'm only 75!! Get drunked up - - often consequences.

Forums > Study > write poem here I think that I shall never see - - of course
a poem as lovely as a horse
A horse whose hungry mouth is lookin'
fer a scrap of mama's cookin'
A horse that looks at the ground all day
hopin' to find a bale of hay
A horse that may in winter wear
a bunch of scraggly dirty hair
Upon whose withers the sun has beat
and daily is a cowboy's seat
Poems are writ at the wishin' fount
hopin' that God'll give us a Good Mount!!
For Sam: as good-of-a mount as I've ever see'd
