I know Dong Fang sells their student visas to other schools, but they got in a bit of trouble for that in the past. This is why Rainbow Language Consulting suddenly became their "Northern Campus" although they are separate schools.

My guess is Dong Fang is trying to force this on other schools, and any government connection is just people Dong Fang has bribed within the government.

Any official postings or flyers with this new price by Dong Fang anywhere? I checked their website, but the webhost said it was closed... maybe they need to pay some bills fast?

Also Dong Fang is known for scaring students into getting a one year student visa, and then telling students they can't switch with various excuses. But in reality all it takes is for them to print and stamp a letter.

So whats now, We have an efforts from Chinese reporter who tried to search around but no more confirmation yet .Can we just ask the Eduction department by our selves ?

my latest email from the reporter says that to further investigate she really needs personal accounts. I guess only very few have given her their stories. She asks that she be told what the students have encountered in the schools and their ideas on this. also she asks for a face to face interview. I assume everything can be anonymous if you'd like. i'll likely meet with her. if you know of any teachers who would speak up let me know. She also says her contact with the schools and teachers so far have ended in them evading her questions. If you would like the reporters email addy just pm me. she has good english.

I have read all the comments, I think only two guys attacked on the dongfang, I do not know if they really understand dongfang, until now I have not gotten any impact of the price increases in dongfang, here now everything is still the same, to tell the truth, the teaching and learning environment in dongfang is better if compared with the other schools, and no change in price, to be honest, the comments about dongfang is a fallacy and even a insult, I think we can not just listen to these guys, we should understand the situation by ourselves,you call dongfang or just go to the school to ask the teachers there, then make your own decision, and as I know, now dongfang is still the most professional language school in Kunming.
