It is not modelling but hobby/craft. Did a quick look on google maps and searched [Kunming craft]
It came up with 3 craft suppliers.
It would be useful to know if you check them out, what they stock. I use a lot of craft type stuff as well.

As far as leathercraft - - we checked all these and no leather. The first one said they specialized in glass/crystal - - and others were jewelry/jade/ivory.

How about aluminum pipes? Anyone knows where I can get any? I've been to an industrial area near the airport, they had all kinds of pipes (PVC, copper, steel, electric conduit and square aluminum for balconies.... ) everything except round aluminum pipes!

Nice idea tiger. Have you seen any in Kunming? Anyone making custom frames?
Don't get me wrong, I found plenty of suppliers selling structural aluminum pipe. "Sure, how many tonnes do you need?" .. "Err, 20 meters in total..."
And then I never hear from them again.
Try putting up a fresh thread asking about custom bike frames.
There seem to be plenty of bike bods on here, but I doubt they will look at a model thread.
