Many do want to leave. Don't fool yourself. Remember they can't show their true feeling outright.

but many are better off staying in china.
they are not all better off in a western country. and some chinese abroad are spending an absolute fortune to educate their kids abroad, quitting their jobs, taking significant time off from their businesses, flying back and forth between china, paying exorbitant amounts in investment visas .... some don't have good jobs abroad and quit good jobs in china or even give up their businesses. their child gets a "better education" abroad, while they sacrifice their own career.
I agree but a lot are. China is just not that attractive anymore to Chinese or Foreigners in general. Many see the writing on the wall. Those that have money when given the option will move out of China. IMHO.
Many corners globally with a writings on the wall now. Too many. USA not without these writings either, in fact. They are shining is neon light.
Dont know about other ppl here, but started to look prepping stuff last year already. Got some basic stuff so far, water purifying, tools, survival skills etc.
Last year even looked in remote areas like Nias Island, Spice Islands, etc. if theres a secret place - an untouched corner - to make an Asian base if the pancakes flip. Nope, couldnt find there. :) Sulawesi higlands maybe. :)
You think a lot of us should be doing this, is that it? So you can all tell us about how to move cash out of China? if so, do so.
Heh.
Peter, according to you I was the one with the gloomy world view. Now you're prepping (a whole world of lunacy opens up when you Google that word) for doomsday. I'm planning a Sunday afternoon of music and drinks. Which one of is wasting our time?
The world is certainly getting more uniform, and at a seemingly faster rate. Perhaps just the natural progression of the world getting smaller.
Brexit and the US Republicans are the leaders to reversing that because the majorty are now sick of liberalism at the helm of everything.
Brexit and Trump are bumps in the road to the world becoming more uniform. You could argue that Trump, Boris, Putin, Erdogan, etc are part of a new trend (trends are an example of some uniformity that challenges the old uniformity). This process was happening before Liberalism. It is one reason why many states through history have put limits on things like TV and books, in an attempt to stop new outside ideas becoming part of their own culture.
Today it is the internet, more than anything else, that is unifying how we do things. If certain tech giants get into crypto-currencies as well, then that will have a huge affect on how we bank, with a huge potential to make uniform who we all manage our money around the world.
