Making a Chinese friend

SarahB (50 posts) • 0

There is this Chinese girl I think is a very nice person, and I think she and I could become friends. How would one go about making a Chinese friend, in Chinese ways? In the US, I would just suggest we hang out at a bar, go out to eat, get a coffee and chat, etc. Is it the same in China?

But isn't creating 15 consecutive trolling accounts a little crazy? Maybe YOU are crazy?

@Seymour Butts: A day-old account that does nothing but chase one user around calling her Matt. Which one's the troll again?

Do you wanna date her?
Then invite her and her friend [chaperon] for a late afternoon coffee at a reasonably expensive place, or a place with status.

If things go well, you could invite both for a proper dinner. usually at that time, if she really likes you, she may sign the chaperon to get lost, and you could have a more romantic dinner. Usually, the same date manners apply here, as in the west, for a bloke it's just common courtesy to walk her home. And say your good bye.

If you just looking for a same sex friend, you just ask, her or him, out to do whatever it is, you like, doing. Badminton, pingpong, watch a movie, eat stinky tofu, or straw-shoot jelly bubbles from your bubble milk tea.

It's kind of a funny question, if I may add.

The Dudeson's: Losing the Chaperone mid first date dinner? Yeah right...
More likely the chinese girl will be taking the Chaperone with her again on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th date onwards and the foreigner will pay triple for everything. This is China folks, some people just want to use you. Not everybody, there are good people out there, but it's the minority.

Spartans, just so I understand, are you saying that the minority of Chinese people are good people, and that the majority just want to use others?
