Hey! I wonder if some one of you have heard about a horse riding club och track in Kunming?

Not quite in Kunming, but a little bit outside of town is a resort with a Ramada hotel, golf course and stables. I don't know if they have an English name, but the Chinese is 中信嘉丽泽, also known as 星耀水乡.

They keep quite a few of their own horses, and stable horses owned by others. I think you can set up a riding membership. They have some pretty nice horses there.

to revive the question, does anyone know of a place besides the Ramada resort that offers horse riding? Or even pony riding?

West side of Fuxian Lake.

@voltaire, do you have any more details? I've been to fuxian but mostly on the east side.
