@Gracejin
You go ahead and keep on proselytizing if that makes you happy. Just be aware that religions are tightly controlled to avoid religion becoming a public nuisance - as you may recall, China has a long history of religious cults infecting the people and politics, causing untold suffering and death.
That being said - Jesus won't lift a finger to directly help or avert AIDS and other STDs. He works through his believers, such as you.
So if you sincerely feel moved or motivated in this particular sector of social health and welfare - devote your life to it - get up and go do something. The needs of those in suffering or soon to enter this life of misery and suffering from either poor, coerced, or lack of choices are infinite. Their loved ones similarly suffer - parents, children, spouses, friends (friends tend to run abandon).
You are obviously overflowing with love and compassion - don't waste your time sharing it here - it serves no value. Go minister to the poor, the orphans, unwed or widowed mothers, and those in suffering and in need.
And...please keep us apprised of your activities, your successes and your failures.
And ... church has nothing to do with salvation. What you do has nothing to do with salvation (good works) or damnation (with a few minor designated abominations).
Christ did not separate himself from the people - he dived into the masses to teach and administer compassion.
Based on your current or future planned skill sets and emotional state of maturity - choose where and how you want to serve, then go do it. Minister to those in need - their hearts are open - not to those who scoff and mock - with hardened hearts.
The quest for salvation is a war - learn to choose your battles as opposed to shooting randomly, hoping to score some targets. Be a good steward of your gifts and use them well.
Your ability to sustain determines the strength of your faith - but it's ok to fall down, to fail, to get depressed - take a break, then get right back up and keep on fighting...to share love and compassion in a world without love, without compassion.
That being said, you should also remember that the deities (trinity) you intend to serve are not cute cuddly plushy toys. The Christian, Hebrew, and Islamic God also exhibits some seriously nasty, vindictive, jealous, and anger management issues...to include genocide (Sodom & Gomorrah), mass extinction (Noah's Ark), etc ad infinitum.
