Chinese National Day is celebrated on October 1st every year to commemorate the founding of People’s Republic of China. In China, it is also called “Golden Week”, a 7 days holiday from Oct 1 to Oct 7. The legal holiday for Chinese National Day is 3 days in mainland China, connected with two weekends, hence people can enjoy 7 days as holiday.

On October 1, altogether 14 military reviews will be held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Besides military reviews, flag-raising ceremonies and firework displays will also be held.

During “Golden Week”, popular destinations will be more crowded than usually.
