new bus stations

  • I'm returning to KM after a few months away. Friends tell me that the bus stations near the south train station, BJ road, have disappeared, replaced by a new bus station in far off Chenggong. True?

    I find it hard to believe that one must go all the way to Chenggong for a cheap bus to Yuxi, for example. What about the West Bus Station, near the Art College, or the New South Bus Station, next to the new second hand market in Fu De? Can one leave, say, the Cloud Land Hostel for Jing Hong without a long expensive detour to Chenggong?

  • All the old bus stations are no longer active, in the past month bus traffic has all moved to four new stations...

  • I took a bus to Jinghong 10 days ago from one of the new stations, the taxi drivers had no idea where it was so if going to one leave yourself plenty of time.

  • Any way to find out which city busses service these new bus stations? How do I get from Xiaoximen to the new West bus station or the new South bus station? None of them seem to be any place convenient to bus riders.
