You've been on this site less than a week and already you're the most annoying douchebag to post here since Gaoxing. But although your posts are, like his, selfish and astonishingly self-unaware, yours aren't even funny. You ask the dumbest questions phrased in the most self-serving way possible, make pedantic observations, outsource questions answerable by a Google search, use retarded chatspeak while playing up your linguistic credentials, and generally act like a gasbag jerkoff. From your idiotic handle to your pompous comments about wine and "the good life," you are a giant douche.
I've flown at least three times on Chinese domestic flights with my guitar as carry-on. When I check in I just hold up the guitar (a heavy-ass Les Paul in a hard case) and say I'm gonna take it on the plane, and I've never had any trouble with the ticket agent or the security people. If you board relatively early there'll be plenty of space in the overhead compartment.
It's always been a gamble, and I've locked the case and pasted the address on it just in case, but whether through luck or some policy I've always been able to take it on the plane. Anyway, I agree with the previous poster. If you're not so lucky, then with these precautions—lock the case and paste the address and phone on it—checking it should be okay.
Aipu is terrible. At least, it was for me. This is just a sample of one, but here's what happened:
I had China Mobile internet and loved it. We moved, and CM wasn't available in the building. Based on the advertised bandwidth and price that laotou reports, I went with Aipu. It was slow as hell. Ridiculously, painfully slow. I could barely check my email. I called them and they promised to send a technician to check it out. No one ever came. I called again. More promises, no action. Eventually they said the speed was "normal," said they had no further responsibility after installing the cable and taking the money. Finally, after another week of almost no functional internet, I threatened to sue them. They promised to send someone over. No one came. I called back, threatened to sue again. After some screaming and more threatening, I got half of my year's payment back and cancelled the service.
Now I have China Telecom, which sucks, but is much better than Aipu.

The pickup switch on my Les Paul broke and I'm wondering if anyone knows a reliable place to have something like that fixed. I've seen a few guitar shops around town but before I lug the guitar all over I'd like to know I'm going to the right place. Any experience, please share.
