I'm looking to rent a 1-2 bedroom apartment for 1 month from 25 August. Preferably in the north west of Kunming, near HaiYuanBeiLu. Between there and RenMinXiLu is also ok.
Preferably with lift and no steps, as I don't walk well after a bicycle accident a few years ago. Near public transport would be great, too.
I've been in Kunming many times, and again last month (June 2023). Unfortunately the apartment I used to rent in Kegao Lu is not available anymore.
I will be coming with my partner. We are very clean and tidy (have references in Kunming). I am New Zealand citizen, currently in Thailand.
Unfortunately, in order to get a new Chinese visa I need to have a confirmed booking of accommodation. I need this before 17.7.2023.
I haven't found any regular Salsa parties or Milongas in Kunming. Is anybody interested in getting together and starting one? Or just organise some casual dancing?
I asked around last week, but could neither find any Salsa parties, nor people who like to dance. There was a Salsa party in a bar near the zoo before I arrived, organised by two ladies. Unfortunately I don't know how it went nor who they were.
If there are any Salsa dancers in Kunming, perhaps let's get together. I have lots of music and I'd be happy to coordinate:
Hi, I'm returning to KM on June 1 for a few weeks. I used to teach some beginners Salsa classes at The Hump a couple of years ago, plus DJ'd a few Latin Dance Parties there. Unfortunately no "Salsa Scene" has evolved in KM yet. The best chance is to find a few like-minded people and organise our own. I was thinking to approach "The Mask" (although small) and see if I can DJ some Latin music there. Perhaps someone knows other venues or people? Happy to DJ. Argentine Tango anybody? (Probably too far fetched :))
