Thanks Paul for that detailed explanation. I'll be in Kunming for 3 weeks studying Chinese in July and plan to site see as well. This was extremely useful, as I find that "the devil's in the details" in getting around and my feet aren't what they used to be. I'm also over 60 :). Nice tip on the discount with passport.
