The ChinaMobil shop on JinMa Fang usually issue SIM's for forigners, I got a new one last week, no problem. You just need to bring your passport.

@Rep. Yes, they go by the passport number, aka a new passport gives a new number, and so it is a blank canvas - no registration in their system.

@Reptilin - If yu show up in HK with a brand new passport (and a stupd story) you have NO problems getting a new visa, tourist-, business-, or what ever-visa.
Been there, done that...

If you get the (*)visa it tarnish your current passport, and your best option to get a new visa is to get a new passport.
There is no way you can get a new visa in HK with that visa in your passport.
I got that (*)visa, was rejected and had to get a new passport in order to get a new visa. No mercy.

Hi, I am a bit confused now...
Is it possible to change from a student-visa to a business-visa, without leaving Kunming?

I get mixed information and the more I read the more blurred it gets!
Anybody have the experience or...?
