Yunnan Provincial Service Center of Scholarly Exchange (hereinafter referred to as "Exchange Center") was registered in Yunnan Provincial Bureau of Market Supervision in June 1999. It is one of the first educational institutions in China and the first one in Yunnan that has been approved by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Security and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce to provide consulting services for self-funded study abroad programs.

After years of accumulation, the Exchange Center has established long-term and friendly cooperative relations with foreign official education departments and more than 1,000 well-known institutions around the world. It has been carrying out various kinds of study abroad programs in more than 20 countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, South Korea and Thailand, without intermediate agencies. At the same time, it provides professional overseas follow-up services. Over the past 20 years, the Exchange Center has assisted tens of thousands of all kinds of self-funded students, helping Yunnan students to fulfill their dreams of studying abroad and pursuit successful lives.

The Exchange Center has experienced all stages of China's self-funded study abroad industry from the emerging, rapid development, prosperity and transformation of the industry.
