Alliance Française de Kunming

A Global Network

Kunming Alliance Française is part of a 135-year-old global network, present in 132 countries with over 834 Alliances.

Founded by figures such as Jules Verne and Claude Monet, it is the world’s largest network dedicated to the French

language and Francophone cultures.

In China

China hosts 15 Alliances Françaises, welcoming nearly 35,000 learners each year and organizing over 250 cultural events.

The Kunming Alliance Française is the most recent, created in partnership with Yunnan University.

Teaching & Culture

Our qualified FLE teachers offer courses for all ages and levels. Throughout the year, the Alliance organizes film

screenings, workshops, concerts, exhibitions, and book clubs, encouraging both French practice and cultural discovery.

Library & Mobility

With over 6,000 resources, our library is the largest Francophone collection in Yunnan. In partnership with Campus France,

we support students in their international mobility and are preparing the opening of a DELF/DALF exam center in Kunming.
