Hello everyone,
next week I want to present my girlfriend (who is Russian) a little surprise, and for that I´m planning to invite her to a nice restaurant to provide her a comfortable atmosphere. Now my first idea was a Russian restaurant, because living in China, she´s really missing food from her home country.
All I could find on the internet about Russian Restaurants in Kunming was the Yalishanda Russian Restaurant 亚历山大俄罗斯餐厅, which - as it turned out - was closed a while ago. Besides that, I wasn´t able to find further Russian restaurants here.
If somebody has some information about whether there is another one and where, I would be really thankful for the advice!
Thanks in advance,
路易

СПАСИБО
I went to this restaurant about 6 months ago. They even have a picture of Putin on the wall. Investigate before you take her there because like all western restaurants in China, it is Chinese + Russian.
Thanks guys, but as mentioned above, this restaurant has closed meanwhile, which is why I´m looking for other Russian restaurants.
Cook yourself. Otherwise, you will most probably give her the creeps by ordering some misunderstood Russian-Chinese dish. :)
@Beruga - Brother, you're a beautiful human being for doing this for your girlfriend. Chivalry lives, by god!
Having said that, I have a hunch that Russian food is even more rare than authentic Indian food, in Kunming. (And, I hear the Indian food around here is really crummy.) Viajante, may have pegged it. You may need to do it yourself. Here's a start for you.

Good luck!
@Shyam, excellant authentic Indian food at Saramati Indian Restuarant on Linyu road in shopping center on right side just past panlong river. Check the reviews.
Agree with tallamerican. Saramati is good and they also do delivery!
Back to topic, please? ;-)
No Indian food, no self-cooking. I got a really good idea, and that sort of requires a restaurant
Sorry to unintentionally lead things astray, Beruga. (And, thanks for the tip on Saramati, folks!)
Good luck on the Elousi de cai!
