Have you developed lactose intolerance?
I know I did ever since I started consuming Melamine Milk, Rotten Shoes Yoghurt and Endlessly Refrozen Ice Cream in China. Do they even use clean water for ice cubes in McDonald's? I always ask for "bu yao bing" (in both senses of the pinyin).

edit: ah yeah, there's always someone at Metro who leaves the freezer door open. Sometimes they even turn their head to give more exposure to their peripheral vision to see if someone would be using the same spot after them, as if they were doing them a favour. If there's no one, they stillleav eit open. Like my friend often tells me, "ahh-hole!"

@Yankee, have wondered same thing about Mcdonalds, what about the pop are they using filtered water or straight from tap. I use to always be able to eat at Mac and Dons without worry but lately often end up ill.

as if only dairy products in china cause lactose intolerance. maybe you can do a google search to see how many fat americans are lactose-intolerant.

and as if mcdonald's is supposed to be some sort of measuring stick of food hygiene that all chinese establishments need to aspire to. yeah, they use pure water for ice cubes back home — with the sawdust-laden burgers.

@tallamerica.

about one month ago, I went to a KFC in Bei Shi Qu late at night/early in the morning, and they used a grey bucket of water to fill the transparent containers that are used for soft drinks (not pop). One of them wa sorange juice. I can't remember the two other liquids. I wonder if that bucklet was only used to fill the containers, and if the water used was safe.

@abcd, I am not American. But I did eat tons of McDona;ds in England and my country without developing health issues. (apart from fat gain, lol)

look guys, if its in china. expects things to change, if i was not mistaken if you look at nestle from the whole world aside from china they are strict in the use of their raw materials.

but in china they use what is told not to. i dont know why.

i read it on chinese article before but it was way before. come on what do you expect in a country even the medicines doesnt have a clean and clear standard, almost every drug store carries their own brand of drugs and you can see just for cold or headache you might find 100's kinds of it and dont know which is good.

worst is pricing is even crazy, if you believe that a drug that cost more is most effective, think again in china

so you're FAT and you admit it? haha. lactose intolerance is the least of your worries then. just out of curiosiyt, why do you call yourself yankee if you're not american?

Impossible to be lactose intolerant, I drink close to a liter of fresh milk a day, surprisingly the quality has been great except one year after spring festival when milk production and distribution restarted.

Surprising information you've given me about ice cream, never again.... bacteria aside it tasted like chemicals anyway....dumb of me to eat it...

So....Loperamide drug imported from Canada was innefective for the first 2 days. Then I resorted to Antibiotics, Norfloflacacin,as my problem was getting noticeably worse, Antibiotics didnt work which made me worry....so a little research pointed to Azithromycin, which is used against Antibiotic resisting bacteria.. getting better..

Oh...to answer my own Question...Can China make anything right??

I don't think they can, they still cant produce an efficient aircraft turbine engine, China still relies on western turbines for their military...

But they can make the jets look good...
