I need to find a company to ship some things back to the United States and I've never had particular faith with the general Chinese postal services considering the number of packages that just haven't arrived. I'm looking for a shipping company that can send a package safely to another country and be able to track it the whole way. If anyone could make a recommendation I'd really appreciate it.

Federal Express is reliable and you can track the package online. So if the package gets held up at customs, you'll know. But quite a bit more expensive than China post. There is a Chinese equivalent of Fed Ex, which is cheaper than Fed Ex (can't remember the name), but not sure if they deliver overseas.

And you should insure the package if the stuff has high value or is difficult to replace.

FedEx is the best. But if it's anything besides documents, you are going to pay a lot lot more than China Post. Also, the EMS service China Post offers is ok (not the best, but usable). It's similar in cost to the USPS Express services.

we just sent documents to my wifes daughter in Wyoming by EMS and she got them in 7 days delivered to her dorm. Cost 150 rmb. I also had documents that i needed asap a few years ago forwarded to me in the usa from china and they used Fed Ex. and i got in 4 days. It did cost more.

I have used EMS to send stuff home, no problems.
