Hi, Im in some visa trubble and whould appriciate your input. I have a turist visa that expires tomorrow that I planed to extend here in kunming. But I failed to notice that tomorrow is a holliday in China and the office will be closed, and I have no information on when it will open again.

So should I go to Hong kong tomorrow or wait it out and pay the fine? What do you guys think?

you probably won't be able to get a new visa in either HK or KM till Thursday, so you may as well estimate your costs for a visa run now against your possible visa fine.

yea. I think I could get one in HK since there the holliday is on the 4th but maybe its the same as in km that 2-4 is closed. But I think Im staying and taking the fine. Anyone got experience with the fines in KM? Is it allways 500 per day? or is 500 a maximun amount and how about issues getting extensions or new visas down the line?
