My Kunming Days

Sindabad (4 posts) • 0

I consider myself as a layman hailed from a country named Bangladesh which has strong relationship with China since the time immemorial. It was like a serendipity to me when I got the opportunity to face the interview for China Bridge Summer camp under Yunnan University and voila !!! To my utter surprise I was selected as one of the student of Confucius Institute in North South University for the aforesaid program sponsored by Chinese Government and I availed the opportunity.I left for Kunming on 31st October and stayed there as a student of Yunnan University Chinese Language Program till 12th November.During my 2 weeks stay in Kunming I visited major tourist sites such as Stone Forest, Ethnic Village and so on but I liked the simplicity of the people of Kunming and the verdant scenery of Kunming thanks to its lush green parks.I will always cherish the memory of Salvador cafe and it's owner and the enlightened people I met there from all over the world.Last but not the least my fourteen days life altering Kunming trip will shape up my future as a global entrepreneur as this trip will keep on inspiring me to be a global citizen and I will visit China for the myriads of time off-course Kunming will always remain as my first priority.

Sindabad, I am very happy for you! It is so nice to hear someone on these forums being positive about China for once!

There have been many positive things said about China and Kunming many times here in these forums, "roger". But as a newbie, how would you know if past posts were positive or negative. And if your answer is you've read the forums, then how did you come to the conclusion that nothing positive was said in the forum?

Sounds like someone has selective vision and only sees what they want to see. Totally biased.

Not everyone wants to spend time reading a long list of forum posts and replies. The reason forums exist is for human interaction. - www.gokunming.com/en/forums/thread/12603/change_usd_to_rmb

From someone who has only been here for "several" months and who does not spend his time reading a long list of forum posts and replies - he sure does know alot about the happenings of GK.

nice to hear someone on these forums being positive about China for once! - This is because your threads draw so much negative attantion - this is why you feel this way.

Congrats - the Confucius Institute is a very competitive Program. Great resume builder and will open doors for further travel to China and abroad.

Nice one Shabbir. Your positive spirit shines. Weclome back soon. Likewise, many visitors to your home land have found inspiration and enlightenment from the people, ancient temples and ways of life there.
