@redjon
Wicker Basket south is on Hupan Ave. Directions to WB from the Aegean. At the traffic lights on corner of Guangfu Lu and Aegean Carrefour. Cross the road south, there are steel and canvas sculptures a bit like sails. That road, about 400m down, the road does a big arc to the left. Towards the end on the left hand side is WB.
www.gokunming.com/en/listings/item/32966/wicker_basket The map pin here is a little astray, WB is on the other side of the road to the map pin.
Agree but thread already hijacked. Mods. Can you split the topic please?
@tigertiger wow that so close I'm surprised I didn't know that a WB was there, I'll take a walk down tomo to check it out as only a few mins from me :)
The train station is city centre, south side of the city centre.
Thinking of doing this as a regular thing. Suggest Weds or Thurs mornings to break up the week.
@rejon77, I have PMd you.
There will be a get together at Wicker Basket South, Wednesday morning, 9.30 onwards.
We will meet upstairs, look for the guy with the beard and orange daypack.

A chance for expats in the south to meet, chat, share local knowledge and experiences.
Wicker basket do coffee, donuts, and also have a breakfast menu. Hope to see you there.
NB This is NOT an Eng corner.
Hi Tigertiger,
I am interested to come there wednesday morning (4th Feb 2015)
Just like to meet people, and what do you mean by "This is not an ENG corner?
Hope there will be english speaking people?
I think he means there won't be no Chinese/English exchange, just English speaking people having a chat :)
That's correct @redjon. Thanks.
@GeePee. An English corner is a place/event where people get together informally to talk to each other in English, and the purpose is simply to improve their spoken English.
Living in the south can be a bit isolated. This is a chance to do something social, and maybe get a bit of support, midweek without going into town.
Let's make it clear - are Chinese welcome or is it only for foreigners?
