2019 Asian Sepak Takraw Championship
A record roster of 28 teams will mark this year's Championship (亚洲藤球锦标赛), the first time China has hosted the event.
A total of 4 events will be competing Regu and Double for Men and Women with the estimated total of 17 countries from China, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, Chinese Taipei,, Malaysia, Australia, Iran, Pakistan, Korea, Philippines, Hong Kong, Bangladesh and Cambodia.
Sepak Takraw is a traditional sport in Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. It combines the characteristics of volleyball, football and badminton, and is known for being both technical and highly skilful. In 1990, Sepak Takraw became the official competition for the Asian Games for the first time.
