Friday: Earthquake benefit at The Hump Bar
The Hump Bar will have a benefit concert tonight for victims of the April 14 Yushu earthquake in Qinghai Province. The lineup is Saer Band, Sigangli, Gouride, The Tribal Moons and DJ Agbadza. A portion of the revenue will be donated to the Red Cross and partygoers are encouraged to bring clothing donations. The free show starts at 9pm.
Friday: Rain dance at Camel Bar
The band Cash Boys will perform at Camel Bar's rain-themed party tonight. Those bringing a raincoat or umbrella will receive a free shot of tequila. Entry to the 9:30pm party costs 15 yuan and includes one beer or mojito.
Friday: All-star party at Uprock
DJs Shonny, Yan, Maxi, DD, Mong and VJ IMAX will furnish the music at Uprock tonight. The music starts at 10pm and the 20 yuan entry fee includes one beer.
Saturday: Sandras' one year birthday party
Sandra's restaurant will celebrate one year in business on Saturday with 88 yuan all-you-can-eat barbecue, 30 yuan each for all pizzas, and 20 percent off all wine. Call 15825267010 for reservations.
Saturday: Maximilian Hecker at Uprock
German pop musician Maximilian Hecker will perform at Uprock on Saturday. Tickets to the 8pm concert are 200 yuan at the door and 100 yuan in advance. DJs Yosof, Yan, Maxi and Litan will follow the performance at 10 with music for the remainder of the evening and no door charge.
Sunday: Flash mob for earthquake victims
The Dangsters dance crew is organizing a flash mob on Sunday to support victims of the Yushu earthquake. The mob will form promptly at 2:30pm at the main entrance of the Wangfujing Department Store. For more information call 13759175534 (English) or 13708433617 (Chinese).
