There's more Beijing music coming to Kunming. Just a couple of weeks after the New Pants gig on the 7th, Beijing band Magic Tour 奇幻之旅 is slated to perform at Speakeasy tomorrow (Wednesday) night.

Magic Tour, formerly named Green Light, was formed in 2002 in Beijing. Its current name is taken from the Chinese translation of Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho's novel The Alchemist. Their current music is infused with blues, punk, Brit-pop, techno, ambient and world music.
The show at Speakeasy starts at 9:30 pm and the ticket is 20 yuan, which includes a soft drink. The first 30 in the door will get a free copy of the latest issue of Pocket Music, a Chinese rock magazine published in Beijing that comes with a CD in every issue.
