I'm a British passport holder travelling in China on a tourist visa. I've extended my visa once already (so I've been in china 2 x 30 days) but I'd like to extend it again.

Does anyone know if a 2nd extension is possible? Or do you know the best place within Yunnan province to extend for a 2nd time?

I was considering Lijiang but also heard that Zhongdian might also be a good place?

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

I know about these visa issues because I took a double-entry tourism visa to come here and I've just been to Hongkong last week to renew it!
I think you can also go to Hongkong to extend your Visa.

I have some friends who came to travel in China, they land in Hongkong and spend few days there, without any visa and they go to this place to do their visa for China:
CHINA RESSOURCES BUILDING, 26 HARBOUR ROAD, WANCHAI, HONG KONG
They wait for 4 days to get it and payed around 200$HK for their Visa, which is really cheap!

It was a few years ago, but I knew this Austrian guy who extended his original 30 day visa another three times with the PSB on beijing lu (back then, it's since moved).

I have a british passport. I'm on an L visa. I'm heading to the PSB, at 118 tuodong lu, for a second extention on Friday. They said two extensions is the maximum.
