  • More information, the student is a 12 y/o girl. Looking for a 4 week intensive course. She is from Indonesia and speaks a little English. She will need a place to board as well.

    Yes, the potential student is 12 years old, that's what you mentioned in your previous post ! We are definitely qualified and experienced to provide a 4 week intensive course for a 12 years old student and make it as efficient as possible. We provide teaching services for all the ages (starting from 7 years up to: no restriction)
    For your information, we are currently teaching a 13 years old student, since more than 4 months (if you'd like to, you could get in touch with that student mother and get a feedback). And we have been teaching kids and teenagers for a while.

    Moreover, we have very good result with our quick-term intensive programs (again if you like to get in touch with previous students we taught,that's not a problem). We have designed a special teaching plan for quick-term intensive courses.

    Concerning your remark about "proximity to the Hump Bar is not a selling point", i'm sorry i do not really understand what you mean. Our purpose to mention the Hump bar is to indicate that we're located near the city center !

    Finally, please be aware that in case you're interested to study Chinese with us, we can arrange a place to board as well, in a safe and comfortable environment. And located just next to the classroom (5 minutes by walking).

    Thank you! My friend wants to come to Kunming to study this June and he loves quiet places. He doesn't really like to be surrounded by a lot of people. What do you mean by "a lot of students"? I am looking for a school that is best for him.

    So far, I have Keats on the top of my list, but your active response seems good.

    Good quality, 1-on-1 teaching, They teach also to youngsters if that is the concern (very safe place to send a 12 year old so to speak)

    The advantage is that you can go for an all in one package (room+private bathroom, tv, dvd player, internet etc.., food, 20h class a week 1-on-1). The school and flats are in the same building actually.

    FYI:

    SFL provides all the same services with equal or higher quality standard ! But not that expensive. We are globally 20 to 30% less expensive.

    Best teaching quality in Kunming, 1-on-1 teaching and small class teaching, we teach also younger students.

    We have also this advantage to offer all in one packages (room+private bathroom, television including foreign channels, dvd player with movies, playstation video game console, "worldwide" Internet, beamer to watch movies on a 3,5x3,5 meters screen, food, a personalized teaching plan+classroom well equipped for audio-visual approach to modern language teaching).
    The learning and living places are not in the same building (5 minutes from each other by walk), as we think it is better to change environment, take some fresh air, not: live-learn-sleep-eat in the same building. By all means, for students under 18, we accompany them systematically if and when they like or need to go out of the living place or the classroom.

    And we are also proud to have many returning students.

    I'm quite surprised by your answers !
    I can hardly understand what's the relation between how many student are visiting our school and the level of satisfaction "your friend" will get if he comes to study at our place (which i'm doubting more and more considering your replies).

    FYI, we provide 1on1 lessons which would be perfect for someone who "doesn't really like to be surrounded by a lot of people".
    Otherwise our classes are limited to 8 students.

    After all, this is "your friend" and we are not going to constrain you to do something you do not want to do. But if your friend has more choices, he might have more chances to find what fits for him.

    In case you wish to help "your friend" we would be very happy to receive his contact in order to provide him with more personalized information.

    Q2. it seems there is only one classroom in your school from your pictures. so, how do u teach the students with different level? OR how to teach the adults and children?
