Thanks for the replies - found a charger cable at an Apple redistributor near the Carrefour in Nanya Zhongxian for 149 rmb.
This is the third time the charger on my iPhone5 has failed, seems to be a weakness...

thanks but it is an iPhone 5 with the new, smaller connector and the while thing is faulty (there are bugs with the new chargers apparently.)
tried to find an Apple Store in Kunming but no luck, are any of the 'resellers' to be recommended?

hi - is there any alternative to the regular taxis late at night?
Kunming can be a late night city and returning home in a taxi without seat belts is far from ideal.
Are there any private hire cars available in the early hours that can pick up in the Moondog/Kundu area?
