I suppose there is no train route from Vietnam to Kunning or vice versa. The railway was built in 1990, it was closed and stopped working due to its damage. In the last trip, it takes 8 hours for me to depart from hanoi to laocai. Then i must take bus from Ha khau bus station to kunming. You can pick up the same route as me . I usually look up the train at this website www.vietnamrailways.com .Good luck my friend
