other days, you may going for a cycling through nice view to Baisha Naxi people's villages. Wenhai trekking is also a good idea, it will takes 4 hours to trekking up hill to the highland lake, or you may going to trekking Tiger leaping gorge for one or two days.
And from the gorge, you will take ride to Zhongdian, also named Shangri-La, a Tibetan town. When you arrive there, just going to find a guest house or hotel in the old town with Tibetan style. In Zhongdian, usually can going to visit Songtsm monastery, and the Podatso national park, the Shudu lake inside the park.
Baishuitai / limestone terraces is a full day tour going by private vehicle. If you have time, going for a 2~3 days tour to Meili holy mountain would be a great idea.

A easy way come to Dali is going by vehicle, or train. It will takes around 4 hours. Old town of Dali is where most people stay.
there are many hotels and guest house you can choose for stay.
usually people will like to do a cycling through the Bai people's villages just outside of the old town, and to have a boat tour on the Er'hai lake is also things you must do. And trekking on Mountain Cangshan you better get a local guide going with. On the other days, you may take a private tour to Shaxi ancient town, which is about 2 hours drive, a small and quiet old town. From Shaxi, you can take private vheicle to Lijiang, and on the way, you can have a lunch break at Jianchuan county town.
Arrive Lijiang, you should be easier find a guest house or a hotel with courtyard in old town.
