From August 16th, the 7th China-South Asia Expo will kick off in Kunming, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a congratulatory letter to the Expo. The Expo is an important platform for China and South Asian countries to carry out multilateral diplomacy, economic and trade cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.

The China-South Asia Expo (hereinafter referred to as the CSA Expo) is an international expo co hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC and the People's Government of Yunnan

Province, and jointly hosted by the commercial authorities of South Asian countries.

China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair is an international import and export commodities fair jointly sponsored by the Ministry of

Commerce of the China and the people's governments of Yunan, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Guangxi, Tibet, Chengdu and other provinces and cities, and participated and co organized by many institution at home and abroad.

The precusor of the CSA Expo is the South Asia Commodities Fair, which had been held for five sessions. In order to intensify the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and South Asian countries, the Fair was upgraded to the CSA Expo in October 2012 with the approval of the State Council of China. Since then, the CSA Expo has become the only national-level comprehensive exposition for multilateral diplomacy, economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and South Asian countries. It has been successfully held for six sessions by 2022.

The first day of the event is for professional visitors and the following four days open to the general public.
