Friday: Summer party at Camel Bar
Camel Bar will be saying goodbye to many of the people leaving town and hello to summer on Friday night, with a live local band plus DJs Eli & Fara and special guests DJ Shitou and Michel Cuerva, who will fuse psychedelic folk trance with live drumming. The free party starts at 9:30, shots of tequila or Red Label will be on special all night for 10 yuan.

Friday: Kunming couchsurfers at Moondog
Moondog will host a meeting of Kunming's couchsurfing community beginning at 9:00 Friday night. Joost will provide live music, Beerlao and Tsingtao will be on special all night for 14 and 10 yuan, respectively.

Friday: DJ night with Susu at The Box
The lovely DJ Susu will provide tunes at The Box on Friday night beginning at 8. A free buffet with sausages, salads and more will run until 11. Entry is free.

Friday: Techno breakbeat at The Club
DJ Li will play selections from 10 years of techno breakbeat at The Club on Friday night. VJ PiXy will provide visual stimuli. Music starts at 10, entry is free.

Friday: DJ Cliff Hangar at the Hump
DJ Cliff Hangar returns to The Hump Bar Friday night with a heady mix of dancehall, drum and bass, house and trance – plus two special guest MCs. The free party starts at 10, tequila shots will be on special for 10 yuan.

Saturday: Flamenco drum lessons at Camel Bar
French drummer Michel Cuerva will offer flamenco drum lessons at the Camel beginning at 3pm. Class is 200 yuan/hour for up to four people. Questions? Call Deng Ling at 13987179900.

Saturday: End of semester party at Moondog
Moondog will have a special happy hour Saturday night from 8 to 10 featuring screwdrivers, Tsingtao and cuba libres for 10 yuan. DJ "the dog" will play 80s hits and some live music. Entry is free.

Saturday: Exhibition opening at Nordica
TCG Nordica will hold an opening for its newest exhibition, "Out of Recognition", which will feature contemporary photography from Yunnan. The free opening begins at 8pm.

Saturday: Blitz Bang Finale at the Hump
DJ Blitz will be DJing for the last time in Kunming and is going out with a bang, playing hiphop, reggaeton, dubstep, electro and trance. Music starts at 10, entry is free.

Sunday: Leave Kunming with a bang at Moondog
If your liver is still itching on Sunday night, Moondog will be holding another special party for those of us leaving town. Everyone's first drink will come with a free double shot of baijiu.
