Hey guys, just looking for a way to listen to music from my laptop via external speakers.
Anyone have a pair they bought here in Kunming that they would recommend? Where should I go to pick them up?
I've only been here for 3 weekends so far. I feel like I've only been to walmart etc for the essentials, temples, and parks!
Thanks for any advice!

Bose is a good choice, very high-quality sound and tons of base.
There's a Bose store inside the Parkson department store on Sanshi Jie

I bought a Hyuandai set with 2 speakers and a sub for 200. The sound is great value for money. Think I got it from Walmart or Carrefour. They both have a good selection in the mid-range.

for second hand speakers, check out the 旧货市场 at 黄土坡 on the 55 line. I think the 1 line and the 20-something line go there too. I bought a nice pair of old KTV-style speakers with a 1/8" input (for computers) for Y90--just be aware that the selection isn't great, you will have to haggle, and you might get stuck with a not-too-great pair, as it's a second-hand market.
