hi i heard that there is this trin that goes from kunming to Guangzhou or Hongkong..

i plan to go to hongkong this july..
i was wondering if u know any ways to go to hongkong in a cheaper way
by bus or by train

and how much will it cost me??
how many days travil will it be?

Hi, there is no direct train from Kunming to Hongkong.But there is one from Kunming to Guangzhou.And in Guangzhou, there are lots of express trains to Hongkong, and only take less than two hours.

there's buses and ferries from Guangzhou to HK too. loads of options. so, i think your best plan is to look into options from here to Guangzhou (train's probably the best combination of comfort and cost, though i think there's a bus too) and then deal with Guangzhou to HK you get there.

the info i have says a yingwo (hard sleeper) is around 350 kuai, but i fear this is out of date - check it at the train station or the ticket office on kunshi lu.

i just happened to be passing the ticket office this morning, so i checked - hard sleeper to guangzhou is 353 (this price decreases a little depending on whether you're on the bottom, middle or top bunk - top is cheapest, the bottom is 353).
