I am a British citizen of Indian heritage. Currently, in India.
Already emailed all the Chinese consulates across cities, in India, requesting for a police contact in Ruili. But, no reply.
Going to try British consulates in China and India on Monday, but, the girl is purely Chinese, so, not sure, if British consulate would help.
Any other ideas, please?
If I can have someone in Ruili who can visit her parents' home (have full address). That should help. Hopefully, she tried something silly and failed. Fingers crossed.
I can pay someone to cover the travel expenses. They can take a police officer with them if preferred, however, there isnt going to be any criminal side to it. She lives a secluded life with her retired parents, there.

First time, "Do you speak English?" "No" - disconnected.
Second time - just disconnected.
Anyone knows about:-
(a) A police officer in Ruili who speaks English
(b) Or someone who can act as an oral translator, over phone, between me and a police officer. I am ok to pay this translator.

1) Thanks very much. Xiexie for the number. I tried calling and speaking to the person a couple of times. I was directed to 692 4141 286 / 285 numbers. However, can't get through 286/285. Tried 284/283/282 as well.

Thanks. Tried 692-412-6693. It seems like the main switchboard number. So I, randomly, pressed a few options like 1,3 etc. to select a department.
However, the person hears me speak in English and disconnects.
It is going to be a challenge.
However, this young girl needs help. I have her full permanent home address in Ruili, passport, ID, pics, her parents details, everything there is to know about her.
I can't type the whole story here. But, its critical and its not a false alarm. I repeat, its critical and not false alarm.
I just need:-
(a) either police officer in Ruili who speaks English language, a little?
(b) or a translator (over phone, between me and police officer - just one time session)?
PLEASE suggest/help with the above two options.
One visit to her parents' address in Ruili would resolve this case. If she is alive, I am, probably, only one who can keep her going. Please help me to help an innocent life. xiexie
