At least once a week I see a police trap stopping everyone on an e-bike with two people on them, at exactly the same spot close to XiaoXiMen.
Low effort troll posts in response to an excellent write up of a sad reality.
I would rather buy a small electric motor and as many Li-ion batteries as you need and convert a regular bicycle (x2). You can also buy front wheels with the motor already installed, or kits.
You'll have a far lighter bike that will go a lot farther, the batteries will last longer, and you'll spend a lot less.
I can't believe you guys value your life so little to be able to happily waste away hours, days, and weeks arguing with moldy bricks. Get a better hobby, people. If you like arguing on the internet, go on reddit or something, you'll have a larger than non-existent audience and the chance to actually learn something, without a default frown on your face constantly. Now you're just reluctant volunteer English teachers. Ineffective ones.
