Does anyone know where I can get Heinz baked beans in Kunming?
I used to buy them from Carrefour, but they ran out of stock about 4 weeks ago and don't seem interested in re-stocking.

Hi!
My company, Sapore Italia, main warehouse in Kunming and shops in Lijiang, Dali and Zhongdian for 5 years, sells high quality imported food and wine.
We also have baked beans.
If you are interested in receiving our complete list please write me an email.
Thanks, Francesca (ex Box Bar)
baifulan,
What is the address for the Kunming warehouse and are the beans heinz?
The RT-Mart (达润发)I shop at in Shandong carries a Shanghai brand of baked beans in tomato sauce for 6rmb/can. The quality was much better than I expected. If Kunming has RT-Mart you can always have a look.
I'm actually thinking to just buy dried beans on taobao and make baked beans from scratch.
I'm a fan of the Heinz beans too, but I haven't seen them in China. How much were you paying for them before they disappeared?
not all the carrefours are stocked with the same stuff, so you can try your luck at another branch.
AC,
After the heinz ran out I tried another brand they were selling (now also sold out) called AYAM. Don't know if these are the Shanghai brand to which you refer, but they were definitely inferior. I'd be interested to try your 'from scratch' beans.
I think they were 9.9rmb per can.
Magnifico,
Tried two other carrefour stores, no luck.

Paul's Shop has them. Also Metro.
Ocean,
Thanks I'll have a look at Paul's. Hopefully the expiration dates won't have been erased.

Most stores carry the Ayam Brand of baked beans with at least three varieties like cheese all made Malaysia. They are well distributed in Kunming. They may not be placed in the foreign food section. I have found then with the hot sauces in Carrefour. Parkson has them in a different place. The small can is yellow in color with Chinese on one side and English on the other. You can add spices to improve the taste.
