10 year visa updates?

There's no way to change her mindset. Not even gonna try. She has no problem visiting but living there, no way! I'm okay with it. We are a mature couple and if I want to live in Japan for 3-6 months (to study and enjoy the culture) she would be okay with that. There's no trust issues with us. That being said, I'm flexible about what she wants to do too. First consideration is financial. Japan is pretty expensive to live in. So is Korea.

I have an acquaintance that has been living in Cambodia for 3 years with his Chinese wife. The visa issue is great for both of them as they do not need to work or put money in the bank as they do in Thailand. They can get either a 6 month or 1 year visa without any problems. Cambodia is inexpensive, not like Japan or Korea. Korea has never appealed to me, mainly because of the cold weather. As you stated earlier, Japan is very expensive and too crowded.

What do your friends in Cambodia do, I mean for leisure? There are no shopping malls, no museums, no parks, no libraries, not much of anything there except bars and a few more karaoke bars. My experience there was the heat was unbearable and the city smelled really bad.

What city smelled bad? There are 25 provinces in Cambodia.

No idea what he does in Cambodia, he is merely an acquaintance. I just know he is very content because he does not have any visas issues to deal with for him or his chinese wife. He previously lived in Thailand and the visa problems were becoming an issue.

I love hot tropical weather (very healthy). As for shopping malls, I do not see them as a leisure activity, empty people go to shopping malls to kill time or to be entertained and waste money on useless items. Bars and Karaoke is another activity of the boring and addicted. There is lots to see and do in Cambodia. Great place to be if one likes nature. With 25 provinces to choose from I cannot imagine anyone can be bored in Cambodia. Great people.

Laos is another great choice but the visa quickly becomes an issue if one wants to stay long term.

It's good to not have visa issues... that would be such a relief. I actually considered moving to Cambodia, until I went there and visited... little to no healthcare, daily power outages, trash everywhere. I don't often walk the malls either, I was just pointing out that there is NOTHING to do in that country... aside from the temples.

Goldie - I have a friend who is in route and is asking me about the 10yr visa. Can you please give me some additional info such as website and address of where you got your 10 yr visa. Also if you know of any other agencies that do the provide the same service - thanks

watch out for agencies providing micky mouse visas. that is how sandra chef got deported, leaving established life in china. she honestly believed her visa was legit

This is exactly why I am asking for information from someone who has recently used an agency and can confirm that they are legit.

Has anyone else got a 10 yr visa within the last 6 months who can give me the name, address or website of the agency used and can confirm they are legit.
