My wife I are coming to Kunming on buisness for 6 months and are looking for furnished appartments to stay in. My relocation company has suggested Kunming IC Holiday Shuncheng serviced apartments (Wuhua Shun Yan Helu). Does anyone know if this is a nice, safe place, in a close proximity to food, groceries, and shopping? Any other suggestions? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Yes that is a nice area, safety in Kunming is very good and is not really an issue, but near bus terminals or railway stations are known for pick pockets though.

You are within walking distance to a Carrefour and many places to eat.

The only concern for you is where you will be working as the area where the apartments are in basically the middle of the city and traffic can be pretty bad.

The area is a nice area. You can walk to a Walmart, Nan Ping Square and the Green Lake area. I do not know how nice the apartments are or how good the service is. I could check. The rates could perhaps be negotiated. Sorry I do not remember how far you would be to your place of work. Traffic is a concern. The nearest subway is on Beijing Lu at this time.

Yes, that is a good area in my opinion. You will be in the middle of everything, so you can find anything you need. You should get some pictures of the buildings and maybe the inside of one apartment to make sure, but I think those are good.
