Dunkin' Donuts

Ah...thanks for reminding me - gotta go get my BK fix. Junk food isn't really BAD - when it becomes habitual, addictive, and eaten to excess, that's not healthy - but it's not BAD. Junk food is just a THING.

We tend to label things as BAD, when we can't control our own behavior, such as eating to excess, lack of exercise, sedentary behavior, so we label something BAD, so we can blame it for our own social woes - we're always looking for scapegoats, as opposed to taking responsibility for our own actions.

So I'll participate in the support of the new gut bomb store - but I'm really holding my breath for Yoshinoya...(although the name will surely inspire unpleasant things in the years to come, as Japan and China arm up).

Now THAT's something both incredibly interesting and potentially terrifying playing out before our eyes!

Seriously - we're flaming each other over Bus Seats, Dunkin' Donuts, and BK? I don't mind the flame wars, as they're occasionally entertaining (we don't have pay TV), but if it's flame on - at least let the community at large learn something of value - like WHERE will DD (Dunkin' Donuts) drop their pods, so I'll know how to plan my pitifully dreary life and move to an area with better water pressure, taxi drivers who don't take breaks during peak rush hours, and pizza huts, starbucks, burger kings, macdonalds, KFCs, and DUNKIN' DONUTS (to go with my starbucks el grande super sized mug of seriously over-priced and over-hyped coffee).

And...what sane person drinks black colored water, anyway? There's got to be something seriously wrong with drinking black colored water...it's not normal...

I'm not sure drinking black colored water is good for you? It could be bad for you? But as culture wrecking plot component of colonists it is bad? I'm not sure, but it could be...maybe?

Noddy does have a point and fast food can undermine culture. Consider the turbo-charged peanut. Faster even than a banana, devilishly small and can be consumed in secret. Spent shells are everywhere some of them land on the ground intact. Furthermore they can be camouflaged in chocolate. Thus they could be considered the ultimate fast food weapon of cultural mass destruction. Code name - MM.

@nnoble
HOWEVER, the shells/husks (?) from spent turbo-charged peanuts can be used in bio-fuel generation - while a spent MacDonalds hamburger - allegedly has the half life equivalent of a Hostess Twinkie. It's like swallowing chewing gum - or watermelon seeds - they'll stay in your stomach for up to seven years before they can work themselves out of your system. Not green...

Have you tried the chocolate covered roasted coffee beans? Expresso in a chocolate coated solid state - versus the arguably liquid and gaseous states of starbucks...

DD? Nice. I'm looking forward to a real donut. Now, if they could get a few Taco Bells about, Kunming will have reached great strides.

The only thing left to do in this town would be an In an Out Burger joint. Heaven is just around the corner!

@bucko - I thought you were in LA? Why settle for Taco Bell when you can have the best - Tommy's Tacos?

About donuts, Metro had some apparently on-premises baked (I'm not sure though) donuts for sale today. Before, we had not spotted these there.

They were still ok in the afternoon when we bought them, probably very good earlier in the day when fresh.

Compared to Dona Donuts, these are decent size, and the texture is more like what I would eat back home. Will buy again.

Serious question. If all you care about is McDonald's, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, and Taco Bell, then why are you in China?

Same old puerile MM style loaded question. Someone spends a few seconds of a busy life commenting on a topic and that is turned into '.....if all you care about is....'
