Dona Donuts is OK although not exactly the same. I wish all the western restaurants like KFC, McDonalds, Starbucks and BS like Xmas and Valentines Day would disappear. I was happy to see that univerity took a stand and prohibited Xmas on their campus.

I for one hate fast food, so I think it is a bad thing.

I doubt any of the fast food chains will disappear - it's a small world and if I'm gonna eat fake food - I at least want it to be from the genuine store.

As for Dunkin Donuts...goes well with black coffee, there's NO Dona Donuts near me (the last one shut down from lack of patronage - aside from me and a few junior high kids).

There's ONE franchise I'm eagerly awaiting - Yoshinoya's Beef Bowl - their food (sugar content aside) is actually quite nutritious compared to most of the ilk available from other fast food joints and is a great place to take the family out for our weekly fast food fare.

It's a bit on the pricey side - but it's only once a week. The franchise is owned by Dicos...or rather, Dicos apparently has national control of the franchise and for some reason they refuse to open one here (I asked).

I agree with noddy. Fast food's bad - destroys culture - particularly those awful bananas, they're way too fast. DD aren't too bad coz they can take a couple of minutes.

"wtf?" That is cultural. I don't like it so it is bad! Anything you don't like is cultural so you are bad. I love cultural food. I took a nine month course to learn how to make cultural pastry and that makes me an expert, no, it makes me the final expert of last resort, maybe thats a good thing? on culture? You wtf capitalists and colonists come to China with your strange ideas, I not sure if they are strange to me? Like sanitation and hygiene, possibly KFC, but I'm not sure. Before I was enlightened, I'm not sure about that, I thought froggy pastry was culture, do you? Now you haters can't see the glory of Chinese culture like using dirty rags, spitting and peeing in the street? I'm not sure? Maybe I'm sure? Maybe someone has a better idea but everyone should chill? Lets meet at Burger King for some colonial food.
