Hello,
I am not feeling really sick, but sometimes feel weak as if I was recovering from some kind of disease. During the first 2-4 months here everything was ok, but this has started lately, could this be to the loss of weight, change of diet, accumulation of air pollution...? Anyone with a similar experience?

I think that could be one of the causes, I have not found real meat here. People here like meat( most is fat, or bone). Maybe is lack of vitamins, I used to eat beans, rice, meat (not bone or fat) fresh fruit and vegetables, good bread, and have the spice, salt apart not mixed with the food.

i eat ground beef from carrefour which tastes fine to me. and lamb chops from metro which i find are quite acceptable and more tender than the beef.

High altitude, dehydratio and lack of vitamen C are some of the common causes of problems here. Some existing medical conditions popup in high altiutudes. Heart issues and high blood pressure are a couple.

There's plenty of meat here and plenty of people eat it. I don't think a healthy local diet would cause your problems. Notice what most people eat, do likewise and you shouldn't have any problems. 2-4 months and the adjustment to altitude should be complete in virtually everybody. If you've lost weighty, eat more. I'm not sure about the effects of the air pollution, but these effects don't seem be be serious for most people over the short run - long run, I dunno. There's fruit everywhere, so I don't see why you would suffer a lack of vitamin C unless you don't eat much fruit. Lack of physical activity is pretty obvious - for those who don't otherwise exercise, trying walking a lot to wherever you have to go, &/or get a bicycle.

I dont cook. Most of the food I eat are from very small restaurants ( fried rice, dumplings) and some fruits, boiled eggs. Those places look cleaner than the canteen of the institute were I work.

Feeling weak can also be psychological, associated with the difficulties of psychological adjustment to an unfamiliar culture.

that could also be happening, how you tell someone not to smoke in work, if they have doing that for years and nobody here complains of anything, not even for an equipment that does not work..
