Actually when I came here, my only goal was to stay for a year or two to study Chinese. Of course if you live in China, the girls that you are going to meet will be Chinese so the chances are good that you will have a Chinese girlfriend and eventually a wife. Losers come from all walks of life and all countries.

Second, how is life not a series of competition? I'm not sure which utopian universe you live in but in my world, every time I consume resource, that is resource someone else can no longer use. Vice versa, when someone uses resource I want, I must compete for it; it doesn't come free.

Thirdly, what would you vcall a person who is not able to fit in or compete in their own environment and thus move to a more primitive or less privileged society and espouse superiority over others just because they came from a more advanced society (supposedly).

Further more, I did not state that simply dating Chinese or being attracted to them is a loser. I said people whom aren't able to maintain a relationship with people of their own culture due to a character flaw and decides to seek someone from a lesser society in order to feel superior, is a loser. This phenomenon is often described as yellow fever, or as I put it, loser laowai syndrome.

This is not about bullying but rather calling a spade a spade. Look into the classifieds of GoK, can you honestly say that these same ads are typical for back home?

you are also using a broad brush and by implication paininting all male laowai the same, incl yourself. even if not your intention that is what positings like yours do. that is why they are so offensive

Just to clarify, I am not saying anyone with a Chinese GF or wife is a loser, only those with a false preconception of what a Chinese women is like and pursue them based on those false preconceptions are; people who can't maintain a normal relationship due to a character flaw and decides to pursue Chinese women because they believe their passport makes them more desirable.

Incidentally, while sad but true, the thought on most Westerner's minds when they see you with your wife is probably what you described. It is called stereotyping and is very prolific.

Can't disagree with the theory behind someone who seeks a Chinese women just because he thinks his passport gives him a bigger dick in China lol but don't think them type end up as successful as they hope long term anyway, just due to the old character flaws they have showing in the end :o)

ive met very few of the so called sterotypical losers in china. the vast mojority of guys i meet are sound. guess it is just the company i keep. only lived in about 5 places over 10 years so what do i know. so call a spade a spade or a sterotype a stereotype if you will, but they is still hitting wide of the mark.

So, it cannot be the case that a Western man comes to China for any reason other than he cannot find a job or get a girl "back home"?
