Try Huiying Dental Clinic. They advertise right here on GoKunming (just scroll to the bottom and you'll find it).
I first found this clinic back in 2009, before I even came to Kunming. They have 7 dentists on staff who all speak English. Dr. Ying is even trained in England!
This is the ONLY place I have ever been able to fall asleep during a root canal. Service is excellent and the price was reasonable. The only problem I have is that the receptionist does not speak English, so I need to have somebody make my appointments for me.

Have you considered asking at your local barber shop or stylist? They have to buy there equipment somewhere!

The first time I EVER read anything about Kunming (back in 2007), they said the new airport would open in 2009. Looks like it's right on schedule!

2000 sounds a little extreme. I've spent only 3,300 at HuiYing in the past year, including a root canal for myself and two wisdom teeth surgically removed for my daughter PLUS cleaning for three of us twice over.

Had my first ever visit to Slice of Heaven last night for a group party. Barbara recognized me as a newcomer and immediately came to welcome me and introduce herself.
While speaking with her at the counter, a server walked past with a pizza for one table. The aroma immediately caught my attention. It was awesome.
Our group shared 4 different pizzas. All were amazing. I think the sauce really makes the difference since it was very flavourful. I also put back to cups of cappuccino. I guess they must have fixed problems noted in other reviews because I found it to be quite good.
If I lived closer I would be a regular here.

发布者This "strict new regulatory regime" appears to not be working. There are many new shops in our area, including a new Pizza Hut, with Chinese only signs. I guess it's another of those new rules that were created but failed on the implementation.

发布者Tigertiger, you must be younger than me. When I smoked as a boy there were no restrictions. We just made out purchases out of sight of parents. Times have changed.

发布者A day after the new law went into effect we were in a restaurant where ash trays were on the table and people were smoking. We mentioned the new law to the employees. They had not heard about it!
Additionally, the law provides for a minuscule fine to the smoker of only 10 RMB. If they want to stop smoking in restaurants their needs to be a very large penalty to the owners of the establishment. Same for taxi drivers, who are usually the people found smoking in the taxis.
Some amount of enforcement might help!
