I would like to do some swimming in some coastal vietnam resort town this summer. Any place has some nice scenery and reasonable prices?

Oh yes, forgot, don't want to use a credit card. You know, walk in the store, try on the shoes and walk out.
Have to laugh at the requests for chocolate or reasonably priced breakfast cereal, but I have really had a hard time finding shoes. My size is 10 and half, but I have a friend who has size 13 and he speaks fluent Chinese and there is just none, not in Kunming, but China altogether. But where is the wholesale place that sells shoes in all sizes, not just the greatest variety of shoes possible.
Noticed that the persons who traveled from Kunming to Jinghong, took the bus several times and were able to take a bike along with them. How much does it cost? How do you find a bus that takes a bike? It would be wonderful to travel to Xishaungbanna and take a bike along too.
I have been shopping for new clothes in Kunming and it seems like I've been really having to do a lot of leg work to find clothes that fit me. I'm 6 foot 1 and 205 pounds, so I'm not out of the ordinary in terms of height and weight. But it seems like all the shops in Yun Fang clothes market have small stalls and limited stock. Are there any stores the specialize in larger sizes? For one day all I could find was one shoe store (my size 10 and half) and one store where I could buy pants. And last!!! Everything in Kunming is polyester, does anybody sell cotton shirts?

20 years in Yunnan with Jim Goodman
发布者Jim is a good source of information about anthropological matters and when he occasionally visits Kunming you can see him at Sal's or the Box before it closed; maybe another bar has replaced it.
Getting Away: Tiger Leaping Gorge
发布者Love these travel pieces concerning Yunnan, keep them up and if you run out of ideas for Yunnan try Guizhou, Guangxi, Sichaun.....
