I really don't think you need the JE vaccine for China. Rabies/rage vaccine might be a better consideration or just carry something to keep away aggressive dogs.
This would be your best shot for getting your request fulfilled in KM. They might have to get it from somewhere else, so plan some lead time.
When you check into a hotel or hostel with your passport, they are registering you. Even better, if you have a Chinese license, check in with that. Much easier and turned away less.
The rest no one worries about, though yes it's technically some violation. The only places you would worry are probably Tibet, Xinjiang, and possibly western Sichuan and Qinghai depending on how sensitive things are at any particular time or place.
If you are on a tourist visa and exit and re-enter China, you should notify the police office you registered at (assuming you keep an apartment here). However, I have been lazy and done it when I returned to Kunming with little reprimand.
Oh they charge different visa prices for different countries. But it's somewhere between $25-$55 USD depending on your citizenship. Most countries are around $35 USD.
It will be a beautiful day Saturday and DT open patio is a perfect setting for any party. 10x even better since it's a huge charity fundraiser with tons of food and music and prizes. Let's blow past the 60,000 raised last year!
MoBike is the future. In Beijing, you just find the nearest MoBike with your app. Once you park and lock it anywhere(no station required) it's available to anyone else, who again finds it with an app. Very stylish and sturdy bike, but too low to the ground for big laowai.
As to the bike stations, I'm all for it too, but maintenance for those bikes goes down hill fast from the ones I've seen in other cities. Many rusted hard to turn, flat or very low tires, broken locks. Also, always a commuter imbalance on stations with rush hour and city/suburb stations. I think in Montreal they had to lorry bikes around every night to correct the imbalance.
Never gotten sick once at Sals. Their food is TexMex, so yeah, not authentic Mexican food, but pretty authentic as TexMex goes. Burrito wrap has improved a lot. Like the draft beer option now.
If you haven't had dairy products in a while, and do eat here, best forgo the sour cream. Nothing wrong with it, in fact it's the best sour cream in Kunming, but if you've eaten Chinese for month or months with no dairy intake, your system will react to sour cream or probably any liquid dairy product not so well. Maybe that's what happened with nailer and tallamerican.
It's now 5 working days for regular processing. So I submitted my application a bit before 5pm on a Friday and was told to pick it up next week Friday after 5pm.
Cost is now 400rmb for a single 30 day entry. Or that was what I was charged anyways. There are no posted prices and its cash only with no receipt except for your passport pickup. That's like $65 USD.
You can pay another 150rmb for 2 day or 100rmb for 3 day processing. For 400rmb, they should process it in three days like they used to before, but now you'd pay 500rmb. The office is still like deserted most of the time, so why does it take longer now and cost extra. If you opted for 2 day, thats like $90 usd. All other neighboring countries charge like $25usd.
The rest of and cope review is still good for hours and location.
