Our small group in the Dali/Lijiang area is looking into legally forming a volunteer organization for rehabilitating misused/abused land and illegal garbage dumps in otherwise beautiful settings; Included will be a public education drive to educate rural citizens of the benefits of a clean environment for health and tourism.

Clean and Green.

Can anyone point our way to the relevant gov.departments??

This may be something big for Yunnan's cycling as the air quality will be similar to european events unlike previous ''étapes'' held in Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha and Zhuji.

Western tourists under 30 will like any experience in Yunnan's tourist venues., although, well informed adults of 40+ usually prefer authentic rural villages and nature. On the other hand, after 3 to 5 days of nomadic road trips, all tourists like a top hotel and the carnival atmosphere of Lijiang...

In short, Lijiang is a great place to visit, but not spend the whole week there..

Went the other night, it was very late therefore I cant coment on the food but it did smell very good..
Cozy atmosphere and very friendly host.
Will return again now that it's found!


