We have had a number of our customers at Salvador's complain recently about the amount of students approaching them for free English lessons during meals on the weekend. It is an issue we have dealt with for a long time now, and we are looking for ways to ease the problem.
We would like to contact the schools and teachers that are making this homework for students to ask students to avoid meal time and also learn how to first ask politely before taking photos and starting conversation. If anyone out there knows which schools are are responsible, we would appreciate any contacts.
We are open to any other ideas that can both please our customers and not offend the students who are only doing this because it is their homework.
Thanks
Anyone out there know of any streamlined and legal ways to transfer money from Kunming to an international bank account? I need to get money into my US account somehow. Cheers
I promise no one is asking for your passports. Not sure how that one got started, but hilarious nonetheless. Things are back to normal and we truly appreciate all of your support. Cheers

I'm leaving this review for one of my staff. She just return from Dali and fell in love with this little restaurant in Dali. Very nice owners cooking up delicious and healthy Chinese cuisine with an open kitchen and local "organic" ingredients. I'll have to try it out myself next time.
If you're looking for a slightly higher end place serving local foods in a nice outdoor atmosphere, you'll dig this place
I'm disappointed in myself for even considering giving this place another chance. I wanted to give my 4-month old a chance to see some live animals and I was sure that there was no way that the Kunming Zoo was as bad as it was 15 years ago. Somehow it was worse. It's disgraceful that with all of the changes that this city has undergone in the last two decades that this zoo still lacks any sense of decency or morality.
At nailer and tallamerican, I'm sorry to hear about your recent experiences. We wash everything with purified water and make all of our food fresh daily from whole ingredients in order to avoid any problems. We will review our procedures to assure that we continue to provide the safest and healthiest menu options possible. I hope you'll give us another try and I'd be happy to buy you a coffee if you are around any morning.
@GoKunming, it would be nice if there was a zero star option for reviews so that business owners can contribute without having to rate ourselves. I kind of feel like a d-bag giving myself stars 1-5. For some reason I settled on 4 as the least douchey ;).
the chorizo alone is worth 5 stars

Spring Festival 2020 Business Opening and Closing Times
发布者For those who don't already know, as of yesterday restaurants in Kunming are opening up. Salvador's Coffee House and Mosaic Bistro are both currently open from 10 am to 9 pm. As staff return to Kunming, we might soon be able to get back to full operating hours. There are some rules that we must currently follow including...
1. must scan in QR code
2. must scan temperature
3. must wear mask when not eating or drinking
4. must limit seating at tables and tables must be at least 1 meter apart
Hopefully the slow recovery towards normalcy will be seen again next month in the rest of the world.

发布者FYI, Meituan is a bit difficult to work with these days and sometimes they don't accept tickets. So at Salvador's this week we are offering 15% off for any orders that you pick up yourself.
