Going from Kunming Station to Kunming South then back towards Kunming Station again and onward to Dali would extend the trip beyond 2 hours and 10 min.
Update: the fastest train will take only 1 hour and 48 minutes.
While the slower train 2 hour and 10 minutes.
Perhaps the faster one leaves from Kunming Railway Station.
