I agree with Bhavesh. Hong Kong has an abundance of custom tailors that can recreate just about anything you ask of them. Prices due to competition are also quite good. I would suggest checking it out on your next trip there.
I bought some Chinese language study books from DangDang without any hassles. As other have mentioned, cash on delivery is a great thing if you don't have Chinese friends who can help with Alipay. I do most of my shopping online as prices are much better. Give it a go!

If I were you I would buy in either Hong Kong or Singapore. Especially if you are buying anything high end. Prices there are quite competitive and a few shops have online shopping websites as well (you can check digitalrev.com they are based in Hong Kong). You will get international warranty and also piece of mind that you are buying a good quality camera. Just an idea.
